Our appreciation and thanks to the parents who assisted at our Cross Country Carnival. Congratulations to all our students who participated. It was a beautiful morning for running with many students producing PBs on the day and giving their all. Congratulations to our age group winners from our earlier Cross Country who were last week presented with their championship medals.

CTK honours Sr Catherine🙏💚 It is with great sadness and much gratitude that we farewell Sr Catherine Maddock, founding principal of Christ the King and a Holy Faith nun for more then 60 years. Sr Catherine's life was dedicated to serving others, in particular the children in the schools she taught at. See below for details of Sr Catherine's funeral. This term, Year Two have been learning about how people are connected to places. 🗺️ They researched and discovered information about a country that they are personally connected to, through their family history or cultural background. 🌍 Each student used their technological skills to create a presentation all about their country. 💻 They also made an excellent artwork of the flag of their country. 🇦🇫🇦🇺🇬🇧🇬🇷🇱🇧 The students loved sharing all of their hard work with their parents at the Year 2 Learning Showcase! Thank you to all the wonderful parents who attended. 😊

Tonight, Year 5 and 6 students at Christ the King braved the cold to participate in the Vinnies Winter Sleepout. This annual event is designed to raise awareness for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which supports people experiencing homelessness. Equipped with only sleeping bags the students gained a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by those without a home. Despite the chilly weather, their spirits were high as they engaged in activities and discussions about empathy, social justice, and community support. The sleepout was a resounding success, highlighting the compassion and dedication of our young students. A big thank you to the students, teachers and St Vincent de Paul representatives who made this event possible. Together, we can make a difference! #Christtheking #Vinnieswinterappeal #wintersleepout
