๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ Feast of Christ the King Activity Day 2023 ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ Today we honoured our four houses Maddock ๐ŸŠ, Burton ๐Ÿฆˆ, Aylward ๐Ÿฆ and Darug ๐Ÿฆ˜. Our house captains guided us through some history and fun activities to help us better understand our heritage. We finished the day with war cries ๐Ÿ“ข and a class liturgy. ๐Ÿ™ We love Christ the King! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We have a new CTK Chess Champion๐Ÿ† Last Thursday our annual CTK Chess Championship was played. 28 enthusiastic, talented and competitive students played a seven round swiss tournament to determine the winners. 1st place Zachary Yr 6 2nd place Paul Yr 6 3rd place Thomas Yr 4 Our age winners were as follows 11/12 years Ben Yr 6 10 years Joshua Yr 4 9 years Eloise Yr 3 8 years Zachary Yr 3 7 years Taeyang Yr 2 Congratulations to all our wonderful chess players at CTK๐Ÿ˜€

Last week, Year One participated in an incursion where they learnt all about Materials! They took part in the destruction challenge where they had to design and construct a structure with their partner. They built it collaboratively with in their group and had to combine materials to make it strong and sturdy. Finally, they got to test whether their structure could withstand a 'natural disaster' using a leaf blower and shaker plates! Year One had so much fun experimenting and learning with their classmates.

Yesterday, Sam ran in the 8 Years Boys 100m heat at the NSWPSSA Athletics Championships and came first. Today, he ran in the semi-final and placed second and progresses through to the 100m final this afternoon.
