💧🌏 Year 2 Reflecting on the Big Walk for Water 🌏💧 After participating in our school’s Big Walk for Water, Year 2 students spent time reflecting on the experience and thinking about the challenges faced by many people around the world who must walk long distances each day to collect clean water. 💧🌏 CTK’s Big Walk for Water 🌏💧 Today our school community took part in the Big Walk for Water as part of Project Compassion. Students walked together in solidarity with people around the world who must travel long distances each day to access clean water. The walk helped us reflect on the importance of water and how we can support communities in need. 🌏🧡 Harmony Day at Christ the King Primary 🧡🌏 On Wednesday 18 March, Christ the King Primary School will celebrate Harmony Week. Harmony Week recognises our diversity and brings Australians from different backgrounds together through inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging. 👕 Students are encouraged to wear their traditional cultural dress, or orange if they prefer. 🏡 Families can help prepare their child to share something about their culture, such as greetings in another language, traditional foods, or the meaning behind their cultural dress. 🙏 We will also celebrate with a special liturgy, and classes will take part in activities that build awareness of this important celebration. ✨ Harmony Week reminds us that Everyone Belongs. #HarmonyWeek #EveryoneBelongs #CelebrateDiversity 🧡🌏

📐✨ Year 5 Maths – 3D Shapes & Nets ✨📐 Year 5 have been exploring 3D shapes and their nets through a hands-on Maths challenge! Students were tasked with drawing nets of common 3D shapes and then constructing them to test if their designs worked. This required careful attention to detail, ensuring edges and angles were even and accurate. It was fantastic to see students thinking critically, problem-solving and learning through trial and improvement! 👏

💜 CTK Supports Caritas Australia’s Big Walk for Water! 💧 This Lent, Christ the King Primary is Uniting Against Poverty as part of Project Compassion. Our goal is to raise $1500 to support communities around the world with access to clean water, healthcare, and safe shelter. Every donation helps bring dignity, hope, and real change. 🙏 ➡️ Donate here: Project Compassion Fundraiser As part of our faith in action, we’ll also be hosting a Big Walk for Water on Friday, 13 March 2026, 9:30–11:00am. The morning includes a Liturgy in St Mary MacKillop Hall followed by a walk around the school, helping students understand the daily challenges millions face to access clean water. 🧠✨ Da Vinci Decathlon ✨🧠 Students from Year 6 – Kamil, Zac, Abby, Tom, Eloise, Lola and Oliver, along with Eliana from Year 5, had a wonderful day of challenge and competition at the Da Vinci Decathlon hosted by Santa Sophia Catholic School. Although they didn’t place in the top three, they did our school proud with their enthusiasm, application and motivation throughout the day. 👏 Students competed in a range of disciplines including Coding, Maths, English, Science, Art, Poetry, Ideation and Creative Direction — showcasing teamwork, creativity and critical thinking. 🙏✨ Last Thursday our Year 6 students attended the ENCOUNTER formation event at John XXIII Catholic College. We are so proud of the way they represented our school community, entering the day with reverence, enthusiasm and respect. 📚➕ Week 4: Maths Activity & Shrove Tuesday 🥞 Kindy had a fantastic Week 4 filled with learning and celebration! In Maths, students were actively engaged in hands-on activities, building their skills and confidence while having fun. ➕✨ We also celebrated Shrove Tuesday, learning about its meaning as we prepare for Lent, and enjoying some delicious pancakes together! 🥞💛 A wonderful week of learning, faith and fun!
