On Tuesday 7th May, 45 students from Christ the King competed in the Diocesan Cross Country with pride and determination.

Congratulations to the following five students who qualified for the inter-diocesan carnival, Mackenzie, Brinleigh, Talia, Olivia and Caitlin, while our 12/13 Girls age group won their division.
A huge thank you to the parents in attendance who assisted on the day encouraging not only their own child but all the students from CTK. ๐จโจ Year 4 Painting Inspiration! โจ๐จ This week, Year 4 explored the incredible digital artwork of Lynette Wallworth, whose creations respond to movement and invite audiences to become part of the experience. ๐ฟ๐ก Inspired by her work, our students created their own paintings โ and believe it or notโฆ they can react to movement too! ๐โจ If you use your imagination, you might notice colours shifting, shapes coming alive, or patterns dancing as you move past them. ๐ฅโจ Year 3 and 4 Shrove Tuesday Celebration! โจ๐ฅ Today, Year 4 marked Shrove Tuesday by learning about its meaning in the Church calendar and preparing our hearts for the season of Lent. Students explored why this day is traditionally a time for reflection, forgiveness and making good choices before Ash Wednesday. โ๏ธ๐ We discussed how Lent is a time for prayer, fasting and helping others, and how we can grow closer to God through our actions. CTK Student shine๐คฉ After successfully completing zone at the end of last year, some very talented Year 4 students competed at regionals up at Mingara. Archie competed in the 100m and 400m, William in the 1100m walk and Fraser in the high jump and discus. Though they didnโt make it to state, the competition was fierce and they represented themselves like true champions.
