My experience at the Las Vegas Acro Cup—Acrobatic Gymnastics Competition
On the 16th of March my family and I arrived in Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Acro Cup. Throughout the week myself and my acro partner trained and went to see different performances. My partner and I competed in the 12-18 women’s pair division with many other countries such as Israel, Germany, Estonia, America and many more. Over the two days my partner and I competed we performed two very strong routines which placed us in the top six, meaning that we made it to the finals.
The next day we competed, performing our third and final routine and after scoring we came fourth place overall missing the bronze by only 0.4 marks. We were presented with a ribbon each and we were extremely proud to be representing not only our club but Australia in another country.
It was a great learning experience and will help my aspiration to represent Australia again in the world championships in 2020. The next day we flew out to San Francisco, we went sightseeing and saw many amazing sites including Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and houses and sets from different movies including the house from Mrs Doubtfire, the house from The Princess Diaries and places such as Lombard St. It was an amazing and fun trip which I will never forget.

ππ Young Mary Comes to Life! ππ Today, our students were captivated by the inspiring performance of Young Mary, a play exploring the early life of St Mary MacKillop. Through storytelling students discovered how Mary's deep faith, courage and compassion shaped her life from a young age. They learnt about her determination to help those most in need and her unwavering trust in God, even when faced with challenges. The performance reminded us all that we can make a difference through kindness, perseverance and service to others, just as St Mary MacKillop did. Her famous words, "Never see a need without doing something about it," continue to inspire our school community to live our faith through action every day. Thank you to the performers for bringing Mary's remarkable story to life and helping our students connect with the legacy of Australia's first saint. β€οΈπ #StMaryMacKillop #YoungMary #FaithInAction #CatholicEducation #CTK #LearningThroughTheArts #cspd2025 #catholicschoolsparramattadiocese #parracatholic #westernsydney06 Aug 2026
