Term 3 has been lots of fun in Year 2 so far!
We are having a great time learning about persuasive texts. This week we are trying to convince someone that dogs are the best pet. We need to use strong, high modality language when trying to persuade someone of our point of view. Have a listen to some of our great work!
Who knew learning about ‘Area’ in maths could be so much fun! Year 2 are learning how to estimate, measure and record areas in square units. We have been working in groups on mini projects all about Area. We had to find who has feet with the largest area in Year 2. We were surprised that some children’s feet in Year 2 even have a larger area than the teachers. We also worked on creating creatures with a certain area for each part of their body. Here are some pictures and a video of all the fun we have had in Maths.

πΆπ Year 5 Student at Lifted Live ππΆ Some of our Year 5 students recently took part in Lifted Live, hosted by Catholic Youth Parramatta and the CSPD. The day focused on Pentecost and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, encouraging young people to reflect on how they can use their God-given gifts to serve others and live out their faith each day. Lifted Live brings young people together through faith, music and community, creating opportunities to grow in their relationship with God and connect with others in a joyful and inspiring environment. Through hands-on activities and role-playing, students discovered the stories of convicts, early explorers, monuments and trade in Australiaβs early history. πΏπ¦ Year 3 Excursion to Penrith Lakes Education Centre π¦πΏ On Wednesday 6th May, our Year 3 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Penrith Lakes Education Centre. Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of hands-on workshops where they identified different bird, tree and insect species, deepening their understanding of the natural environment.
