As we welcomed students back for the beginning of Term 2 our CTK community joined together to remember the servicemen and women who have bravely served our country. The whole school gathered in the church and representatives of each grade placed a poppy on the prayer focus.
As we reflected together as a community to commemorate ANZAC Day we were reminded of the importance of life, love and peace and of the sacrifice that many men and women make today to keep our country safe.
We ask that God continue to walk with them and their families and that as a nation we may follow in the words of Jesus to ‘love one another’.

π𧑠Harmony Day at Christ the King Primary π§‘π On Wednesday 18 March, Christ the King Primary School will celebrate Harmony Week. Harmony Week recognises our diversity and brings Australians from different backgrounds together through inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging. π Students are encouraged to wear their traditional cultural dress, or orange if they prefer. π‘ Families can help prepare their child to share something about their culture, such as greetings in another language, traditional foods, or the meaning behind their cultural dress. π We will also celebrate with a special liturgy, and classes will take part in activities that build awareness of this important celebration. β¨ Harmony Week reminds us that Everyone Belongs. #HarmonyWeek #EveryoneBelongs #CelebrateDiversity π§‘π

πβ¨ Year 5 Maths β 3D Shapes & Nets β¨π Year 5 have been exploring 3D shapes and their nets through a hands-on Maths challenge! Students were tasked with drawing nets of common 3D shapes and then constructing them to test if their designs worked. This required careful attention to detail, ensuring edges and angles were even and accurate. It was fantastic to see students thinking critically, problem-solving and learning through trial and improvement! π

Our goal is to raise $1500 to support communities around the world with access to clean water, healthcare, and safe shelter. π§ β¨ Da Vinci Decathlon β¨π§ Students from Year 6 β Kamil, Zac, Abby, Tom, Eloise, Lola and Oliver, along with Eliana from Year 5, had a wonderful day of challenge and competition at the Da Vinci Decathlon hosted by Santa Sophia Catholic School. Although they didnβt place in the top three, they did our school proud with their enthusiasm, application and motivation throughout the day. π Students competed in a range of disciplines including Coding, Maths, English, Science, Art, Poetry, Ideation and Creative Direction β showcasing teamwork, creativity and critical thinking.
